Join City of Westminster Guide Joanna Moncrieff as she takes us on a virtual tour through the fascinating history of some of the West End’s famous food & drink shops including household names like Twinings, Fortnum & Mason and Patisserie Valerie.

You will hear about their often surprising beginnings and the significant events in their history which put them on the path to world-wide fame.

Joanna will also give some insight into how she does her research which will be of interest to anyone undertaking local history projects.

About the speaker:

Joanna Moncrieff has been leading guided walks and more recently virtual tours in the West End, Clerkenwell & Islington and Walthamstow and Chingford since 2009. Her walks are mostly off the beaten track taking in hidden alleyways and lesser known streets.

Joanna qualified as a City of Westminster Guide in 2009 and a Clerkenwell & Islington Guide in 2015.
